PENNGROVE, Sonoma County — Sonoma Water’s sanitation water-efficiency rebate program includes eligible customers in the Penngrove Sanitation Zone and is accepting qualifying applications while funds remain available.
The agency says rebate funding is offered on a first-come, first-served basis through June 30, 2027, subject to program changes. The program is intended to reduce indoor water consumption and wastewater flows, helping both households and local collection systems. Eligible products and incentive amounts vary and should be checked on the official rebate schedule.
Applicants must submit a completed IRS Form W-9 for program tax reporting. Sonoma Water notes that a Form 1099-MISC may be issued if combined county rebates reach $600 or more in a calendar year. The presence of a program does not guarantee reimbursement after funds are exhausted or for a purchase that fails eligibility rules.
What residents can do
Before buying new equipment, residents should review the application, product requirements, receipts needed and submission procedure. Contact Sonoma Water about whether the property is served by the participating sanitation zone.
